An oak longcase clock, late 18th century
The case with breakarch hood with brass ball and spire finials, outset columns, with breakarch trunk door and on stepped plinth, the 12in. wide gilt-brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to a silvered chapter ring signed William Coryndon PLYMOUTH DOCK, with matted centre, subsidiary seconds ring and square date aperture with engraved border, the arch with dolphin spandrels to a silvered disc engraved with an eagle, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, replaced seatboard; case associated to movement and dial -- 80in. (207cm.) high
