A George IV Welsh oak and mahogany cross-banded thirty-hour longcase clock, second quarter 19th century
The hood with swan-neck cresting and outset fluted columns, short rectangular trunk door flanked by three-quarter length fluted pilasters, the plinth raised on a wavy skirting, the 12in. square white dial painted with conch shells to the spandrels and to the centre, with Roman chapters and arch date aperture, signed Rich.d Rider Welshpool, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on bell (lacking) -- 80in. (203cm.) high
