built by Martin Bower, the spacecraft with resin body, perspex dome and separate 'Fireball Junior' on three skids, secured by magnets to main body, with detailed control cabin, painted in silver, with yellow and red stripes and blue banding --64cm. long overall (E); with Launch Platform and Ramp, painted plastic, on painted plywood board --baseboard 81cm.long, 42cm. wide (VG); and Space City Tower, painted plasticard --69cm. high (VG) (3)

The television series 'Fireball XL5' was produced by Gerry Anderson and originally transmitted between October 1962 and October 1963

The pieces in this lot were used in Thunderbirds comics produced between 1991 and 1993. They were also used on video sleeves, trading cards and other ITC publicity worldwide.
