An Isleworth blue and white moulded oval sauceboat
Circa 1770
The pleated sides with two moulded scroll and foliage cartouches, surmounted by a flowerhead enclosing a fisherman in a sampan before a rocky river island in a dark blue, a butterfly in a similar cartouche beneath the lip, the top rim with meandering foliage and the interior with a trailing flower, with diaper-pattern to the lip, on a gadrooned oval foot (very slight grazing to lip and top rim)
