A 'Girl-in-a-Swing' seal modelled as a pug and a Chelsea seal of a chinaman
Circa 1755 and 1760
The first with a pug recumbent to the right on a rectangular cushion inscribed JE SUIS FIDELLE and wearing a yellow collar on a domed oval base, the second as a chinaman seated on a cushion in a flowered robe on a domed oval base inscribed LES OISEAU (sic.) DIVERTISSENT, both bases set with an intaglio carnelian seal, gilt-metal mounts (both with some rubbing to enamels)
About 3/4 in. (2.5 cm.) and 1¼ in. (3.2 cm.) high (2)
