A Sevres two-handled blue-ground seau (cuvette a fleurs unie)
Circa 1758-59, blue interlaced L's mark enclosing date letter F, painter's blue M mark for Jean-Louis Morin
The front of bombé form, the sides with up-turned foliage handles enriched with gilding, the front painted with two winged putti among clouds collecting hearts in a blue robe, the reverse with a trophy among clouds including a plumed turban, each within gilt escutcheon-shaped cartouches edged with scrolls, flowers, foliage and panels of dot ornament, against a rich blue ground below a gilt dentil rim (very slight chipping to footrim, handles with slight wear to gilding at extremities)

The present lot is an addition to the listed examples. The trophy on the reverse with its quiver of arrows and crescent alludes to the Goddess Diana.
