modelled as a ferocious tiger standing upon a raised rocky terrain with snarling expression, before a young boy holding out his right hand and shouting, protecting a man kneeling upon the ground behind, a bundle of sticks and plaque behind, the ground onlaid in ivory and stained ivory with simulated bamboo shoots, the tiger's eyes and plaque inlaid in mother of pearl, set on a wooden stand carved with shaped feet and reticulated panels of scrolling foliage -- 18¾in. (47.5cms) wide, (some repair and losses).
