Details
Victoria, proof Sovereign, 1887, Jubilee type bust left by J. Edgar Boehm, differing in a number of details to the regular proof, the necklace has 14 pearls, the J.E.B. is fully onto the truncation, the Garter star has an extra lower ray each side, the lower left ribbon of the bow of the Order of India is further away from the jewel of the Order, the final colon in the legend is closer to the bust, rev. by Benedetto Pistrucci, struck en medaille, St. George and dragon, date in exergue, very distinct B.P. to upper right of exergue, edge milled, weight 7.89g. (cf.WR 333; S.3866B), small patch of red tone by obverse legend, otherwise brilliant, practically as struck
