The first By Wilkinson Sword Co. Ltd., 1937-52
The first of 1827 Pattern, with straight blade etched with maker's name, foliate decoration, anchor and 'G VI R' cypher, regulation gilt-brass guard with folding flap, fine wire-bound rayskin grip, and blue and gold cord sword-knot (tassel missing), in brass-mounted black leather scabbard; the second of Continental (probably German) manufacture with plain curved fullered blade, brass stirrup hilt and wire-bound ebonite(?) grip; the third an Indian tulwar with copper hilt and waved double-edged European blade; the fourth a German Model 1884/98 knife bayonet with scabbard and frog (grip slightly damaged)
