A Rare American (New York) French And Indian Wars Cow-Horn Powder-Flask
Circa 1760
With threaded brass nozzle (stopper missing), the body professionally engraved with a map of the Hudson and Mohawk river systems from New York to Canada with the principal English forts, views of Qubeck (sic) and Montreal, and, at the base, of New York, Albany and Boston, some of the engraving picked out in vermilion, the base with traces of a date (slight wear, minor cracks, wooden base-plug incomplete)
