With browned twist octagonal sighted barrels (scattered minor rust staining), case-hardened recessed patent breeches each with platinum line, and platinum-lined maker's stamp and touch-hole, engraved case-hardened tangs each incorporating the back-sight, engraved signed case-hardened detented bevelled locks each with roller, safety-catch, stepped tail, rainproof pan, and blued steel-spring, figured walnut half-stocks, chequered butts, engraved blued iron mounts including spur trigger-guards, blued trigger-plates each with pineapple finial, silver fore-end caps, silver escutcheons engraved with owner's crest and intials 'GD', original horn-tipped ramrods, and most of their original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including copper and brass three-way flask, the lid (warped, one corner detached) with trade label, the exterior with flush-fitting carrying handle and circular escutcheon inscribed with owner's name 'G. Denne Esq.r, Canterbury'
