A WHITE LACED O-YOROI, the helmet bowl of twenty-plate hoshi bachi (knobbed bowl) of low rounded form ( dating from the late Kamakura period), the simple tehen kanamono rivetted on with copper rivet, the front and rear plate overlaid with copper plates, the front having three shinodare contemporary with the bowl, the russet iron peak (mabizashi) probably original but relacquered and mounted with later fukurin, the neck guard (o-manju shikoro) of hon kozane black lacquered, the large fukigaeshi overlaid and a gilded copper pierced plates of peony design, each with an applied iron karashishi, the peak with the gilded copper mitsu kuwagata dai; a menpo black lacquered with a moustache; a neck ring (nodowa) of two-plates hon kozane black lacqured; the cuirass (do) black lacquered hon kozane and a separate side plate (waidate), the watagami fitted with shoji ita; large shoulder guards (o-sode) of hon kozane; thigh guards (ho-do haidate), the plates gold lacquered; russet iron sleeves (Shino gote); and iron shinguards (o-tateage suneate), two pairs of gyoyo associated
