BETTE DAVIS DRESS AND JEWELRY WORN IN A 'LIFE' MAGAZINE SPREAD

A cocktail dress worn by Bette Davis in a 'Life' magazine spread that appeared in the Spring 1989 issue commemorating Hollywood history. Designed by Geoffrey Beene and purchased by Miss Davis from Neiman Marcus, this long-sleeved dress has a black wool top with a vibrant orange silk bottom and comes with the black leather/faux pearl gloves and rhinestone brooch she wore with it. Also included is a pair of rhinestone drop earrings that Miss Davis wore on the cover of the same issue as well as the actual copy of 'Life' where she can be seen in this ensemble on page ten as she sits next to James Woods, a friend and co-star from the 1976 made-for-television movie, "The Disappearance of Amy."
