Provenance
The Elizabeth Arden case was originally offered in "The Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe" auction Christie's had in October 1999; Lot 309, Page 214 of that catalogue. The Tiffany & Co. case was intended to be part of that same sale, but was inadvertently omitted.
Special notice
Christie's generally offers property consigned by others for sale at public auction. From time to time, lots are offered which Christie's or an affiliate company owns in whole or part. Each lot of such property is offered subject to a reserve. This is such a lot.
