MGM, 1966
A pale yellow linen jacket worn by Elvis Presley as he portrayed Mike McCoy in the car-themed musical. With narrow, rounded lapels and a cut-away front, this piece was worn in the scene when Elvis is forced to sing a love song to rich girl Cynthia Foxhugh as portrayed by Shelley Fabares. A label on the inside pocket lining has a handwritten notation reading Beau Gentry Elvis Presley 5-9-66 2157 and the designer label of Beau Gentry Hollywood, Calif. is sewn to the inside jacket lining. Included is the videocassette of the film and a still showing Elvis wearing the jacket.
