ORIGINAL NEGATIVES FROM UNPUBLISHED PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN ON THE SET OF "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT"
1964
A group of nearly three-hundred original negatives taken by a photographer on the set of the Beatles' first film. Showing the Fab Four from key scenes in the film as well as behind-the-scenes during breaks, these never-before-published photographs were lost to history until they were recently found in a London warehouse. Though many of the images are quite similar to others that have been published (a number of still photographers were on the set each day snapping away), these ones in particular truly capture the hysteria and magic that was Beatlemania. A few other pictures of the Beatles at different times are also evident on the cotact sheets so perhaps this now-forgotten photographer followed them around for a few weeks. Also included are recently printed contact sheets for visual purposes.
