SPARKY ANDERSON DETROIT TIGERS GAME WORN UNIFORM
1984
A standard-issue Detroit Tigers baseball uniform made of grey polyester with navy blue, white and orange striped trim worn by newly inducted Baseball Hall of Famer, George "Sparky" Anderson. On the back of the shirt Anderson is appliqued in navy-blue lettering while handstitched numbers reading 83 2 12 appear on the lower right-side hem. The pants also display handstitched numbers in the inside waistband which read 13 and 11 82 1 22. This particular uniform, which also comes with the matching navy-blue stirrups, was won in a charity raffle (original raffle ticket included) in 1985 and was worn by Anderson during the 1984 season when the Tigers won the World Series.
