The Shaw & Hunter Trophy was presented annually by the East African Professional Hunter's Association from 1955 to 1976 to the Professional Hunter who obtained in any year what was adjudged to be the finest trophy taken by a client. This trophy was won by Mr. Alexander whose safari operation - John Alexander Safaris - was based in Nairobi and Nanyuki, Kenya in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
