A late 19th Century French Prisoner of War style bone and horn model of a third rate 64 gun Ship of the Line (heavily restored)
planked in bone and horn with brass pins, the rubbing strakes and strake above the gun deck, the rise between the sheer up to the poop have alternating planks in bone and horn, with a Roman warrior figurhead, head bucket, four anchors rigged with anchor buoys, three brass grapplings, hooks and chain, pin and fife rails, capstan, water barrels on deck, belfry and bell, three ship's boats and a dory swung out over the stern, one on either side, a fourth rigged and ready to launch over the main deck opening, a binnacle, deck gratings over two ports, deck rings, ladders, poop deck, cannons are blackened brass, main flagstaff flying the British flag and the ensign of the white fleet. The lower masts and lower bow sprit are bound and wrapped with chafe guards in gold and black, the other spars are properly rigged with blocks and stun's'l booms, tops and trees. The rigging is very well done to scale and is served and reeved through the blocks which are bone. mounted on a bone base with painted garden fence.
