A Brass Stern Lantern
American; 19th century
A brass cased box shaped running light with glass on three sides protected by brass cages. At the interior back is a reflecting mirror. The lantern is fitted with the original oil lamp with well, wick and glass shade. The top of the lantern is in the form of half a barrel.
