A silvered face clock, signed John Poole/Maker To The Admiralty/57 Fenchurch St./London. 4273. With Roman numerals, up and down dial and sweep second hand. In a brass casement with sping action keywind access, and marked on the inside 4273. Mounted in a gimballed brass bound mahogany box with carrying handles and an ivory plate on the exterior with the following: Sold by/HILL & PRICE 1, Broad Quay, Bristol./-4273-. Includes the original key and an old appraisal from 1958.
