Minted by the Royal Mint; United Kingdom, ca. 1936.
A cast bronze medal for the commissioning of the R.M.S. Queen Mary. One side has a three-quarter bow view of the ship in relief and inscribed: MARIA REGINA/MARI ME/COMMISIT. On the reverse, is a view of London and three shields, including the Cunard shield. The second side is inscribed QUEEN MARY/Commissioned 1936. In the original green leather fitted box.
