A satinwood, crossbanded, and inlaid work box, 2nd half of 19th century
in the George III style, the rectangular canted angled hinged top centred by an oval fan medallion revealing a quilted silk interior, the conformingly shaped body on partly fluted square tapering legs joined by an X-framed stretcher with central turned finial -- 21in. (53.5cm.) wide, 28½in. (72.5cm.) high, 14in. (35.5cm.) deep
