Lot Essay

The Horatio Hall, a screw steamship, operated from 1898 to 1909. The ship was built in Chester, Pennsylvania, by the Delaware R.S.B. Co. for the Maine S.S. Co., weighing 3168 tons. It sunk off Pollock's Rip on March 10, 1909.
Harold Sniffen lists ten oil paintings and a sketch in his book on Jacobsen.
