Painted in Ming style with characters interspersed with flower-heads growing from scrolled stems issuing curled leaves above a band of radiating lappets, the splayed foot with a collar decorated with sprigs and tassels pendent from ruyi-heads, the interior with a large flower-head medallion, all reserved on a lemon-yellow ground, save for the sides of the interior and the base--5¼in. (13.2cm.) high
