AN EXCEPTIONAL IRREGULARLY SHAPED DUAN INKSTONE

The irregular shaped purple stone highly polished to the top and lightly carved with scrolls interspersed with areas of natural skin and with scattered olive-green 'eye' inclusions, the reverse with an inscription Daqian zibao 'treasure of (Zhang) Daqian' (1899-1983) and his hallmark Da Fengtang (Hall of Winds)--7½ in.
