The interior painted with with three bunches of grapes on a leafy vine with numerous tendrils, the cavetto with a composite floral scroll comprising twelve flower-heads including lotus, morning glory, chrysanthemum, peony, pink, camellia and other flowers on a leafy scroll with smaller blooms issuing from secondary stems, the slightly sloping everted rim with a border of breaking waves, the exterior with another composite floral scroll, the base unglazed, the body burnt orange in places in the firing, incised above with foot with a collector's mark, Ge Shang, small rim frit--14 5/8in. (37.7cm.) diam., box
