A RARE PAIR OF LATE MING BLUE AND WHITE SAUCER-DISHES
JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARKS WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD

The flared sides angled above the shallow ring foot, the exterior painted in inky blue tones with stylised lotus sprays separated by a zigzag band from pendent clouds encircling the rim, the interior with intertwined ruyi heads and lotus buds surrounding a circle within a double-line border (one with a small rim chip restored)--5 7/8in.
