The well-modelled female Bodhisattva shown seated on an elephant recumbent on a flat rockwork base, her left arm cradling a ruyi sceptre, her right hand raised in a protective gesture, dressed in loosely draped robes falling open at the chest to reveal a jewelled necklace, her face modelled with serene expression and downcast eyes framed by hair drawn back and knotted in double tresses falling over her shoulders, the back with impressed double-gourd mark of He Chaozong--5 5/8in.
