A PAIR OF WUCAI 'DRAGON AND PHOENIX' BOWLS
DAOGUANG SEAL MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD

Each exterior painted with striding green and red dragons amidst flower-sprays in pursuit of flaming pearls divided by two descending phoenix, all beneath a narrow band with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, interspersed with ruyi-heads, the interior with an ascending dragon reaching for a flaming pearl amidst fire scrolls--5 7/8in. (15cm.) diam.
