A FINE PAIR OF GILT-DECORATED BLUE-GLAZED BOTTLE VASES
GUANGXU SIX-CHARACTER MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD

The vases glazed in a rich deep blue tone, the globular body and waisted neck gilt with scattered medallions containing flowers, fruit, birds, animals and other auspicious emblems, the shoulder with lotus and between shou characters within single line bands, the foot with a border of stylized stiff lappets, the everted rim gilt above a further band of overlapping pendent ruyi (gilding rubbed in places)--15 3/8in.
