A CARVED AND MOULDED LONGQUAN CELADON BOWL
EARLY MING DYNASTY

Of deep rounded sides, the exterior well carved with a broad band of floral meander, repeated on the interior encircling a moulded floral medallion, a band of key-fret around the foot, covered overall in a bubble-suffused olive-green glaze, the base with a ring exposing the biscuit burnt orange in the firing (foot polished, small rim chip)--8 5/8 in. (22cm.) diam.
