AN UNUSUAL ENAMELLED LANGYAO BULBOUS VASE

The exterior covered with a transparent, crackle-suffused glaze of rich crushed strawberry tone ending neatly at the mouth rim where a crackled glaze of ivory and pale celadon tone continues into the interior, with sinuous dragons incised and drawn in black against a wide band of black striations below a narrow green border encircling the rim and a band of black key-fret encircling the foot, the interior of the base decorated with a yellow and aubergine dragon leaping after a flaming pearl outlined in black against a bluish-green ground--15in.
