ENCIRCLED IRON-RED FOUR-CHARACTER HALL MARKS CAIHUATANG ZHI, 18TH CENTURY
The rounded sides slightly flaring at the rim, the exterior painted and enamelled with eight lanca characters above and dividing eight flame mandorla, each resting on a continuous stylized lotus scroll above the foot, the interior similarly decorated with five lanca characters and five mandorla radiating from a central flower-head within a blue circle, below a lanca-character band around the rim--7in. (17.8cm.) diam. (2)
