The finely and thinly potted stemcup with rounded sides and a slightly everted rim resting on a flared hollow foot, well painted in characteristic soft blue tones to the exterior with five Buddhistic lions playing with ribboned brocade balls below Buddhistic emblems, flaming pearls and clouds above a band of lotus-lappets radiating from above the foot encircled by a lotus scroll above a classic scroll, the interior with a central medallion containing a further pair of Buddhistic lions divided by a large brocade ball and auspicious emblems, all divided by double line borders (two shallow rim flakes and one associated hairline restored, original lutting line at top of stem foot reinforced)--5 3/4in. (14.6cm.) diam.
