A FINELY PAINTED BLUE AND WHITE MOON FLASK
QIANLONG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

Painted in brilliant tones to each flattened side with a full-faced five-clawed dragon amid flames and cloud scrolls with arched lotus scrolls painted to the sides, flanked by borders of jewelled lotus- lappets below and ruyi-collars and overlapping stylized plantain leaves on the neck set with a pair of reticulated dragon handles, the foot and slightly flared mouth surrounded by bands of cresting waves (one handle restuck)--18in. (46cm.) high
