A MAGNIFICENT IMPERIAL JADEITE BEAD SAUTOIR
Comprising 65 beads ranging from 12.1 to 12.8mm, each translucent stone densely suffused with areas of brilliant emerald green, strung on a clasp designed as circular cabochon of honey-like translucency and streaks of brilliant emerald green, mounted in platinum with two baguette diamonds (the clasp circa 1920)
Clasp: cabochon measuring 15.2 x 6.6 mm

According to family tradition the beads in this necklace were reputed to be bought from the mother of the last Emperor of China Puyi, and come from jadeite court necklaces. Two complete jadeite court necklaces from the Imperial collection are published by
