The figure finely carved standing barefoot on a rounded base with cresting waves, wearing loose fitting robes, carrying a shoe in one hand and with the other holding a staff over his shoulder tied with a hat and a fly whisk, the face with beard, moustache and brow falling in ringlets (tip of staff and one finger restuck, age crack)--5 3/8in. (13.7cm.) high
