The Settings of the Large Dragons
1 Candarin
Settings I-II: Thin paper, stamps printed 2½ mm. apart
Setting III: Thin paper, stamps printed 4½ mm. apart
Settings IV-VII: Opaque paper, stamps printed 2½ mm.apart
Although it had been thought that an additional or new setting to the seven outlined by Hock and Chen in their study published in Philip Ireland's The Large Dragons existed, it has now been proven by Lisa and Sven E. Beckman ("1 Candarin- New Setting V- Does It Exist?") that those multiples ascribed to this New Setting contained clichés which had been misidentified by previous researchers and, once properly classified, could all be placed in the old settings, thereby dispelling the existence, at present, of any new settings. Consequently, we have readopted the traditional numbering of seven settings.
The well presented reconstruction of the twenty-five clichés comprising thin paper (58, of which 32 are unused), wide spacing (44, of which 12 are unused), and opaque paper (55, of which 42 are unused). Poor to fine. (157)
