cover -- 1864 (31 Oct.) blue envelope "Via Marseilles" to Scotland, bearing 1863-71 8c. and 24c. cancelled by "B62" in blue with "1" and "1/3" rate marks in red ink, reverse with a fine strike of the scarce Johnson & Co forwarding agent's cachet in red with despatch and arrival c.d.s.; part of the flap is missing and 8c. with closed tears, nevertheless a fine and early date for the second issue.
