Proof Four archival proof sheets (each 350 x 218mm.) for the ½c. to 10c., 50c. and $1 annotated by R.A. de Villard to register the progress of the printing of the stamps and containing his original large-size pen and ink drawings of the values with "R.A. de Villard" in the lower right corner, bromides of the die proofs numbered "2487 - 2492" and 2495 - 2496", colour samples for all values, die proofs in issued (or close to) colours for ½c., 1c., 5c., 10c. and 50c., imperf. plate proofs in issued (or close to) colours in blocks of four for ½c., 1c., 2c., 4c. (2, one with unusually large margins on three sides suggesting a pull of four impressions only), 10c. and 50c., single colour proofs of 2c. and 4c., and the issued stamps through 50c., a few faults or defects.
