Each with everted mouth gilt with egg and dart, the scroll handles radiating from stylized flower terminals, the neck and foot gilt with stylized pendent flowers, the pair emblematic of Comedy and Tragedy, the one decorated with a nymph standing in clouds a winged putto standing in the hollow of her interlaced fingers and holding a mask, the reserve with the head of a smiling boy radiating dancing putti and suspending flower garlands; the other with a nymph standing in clouds and holding a mask in her right hand a winged putto standing in the palm of her left hand, the reverse with the face of a crying boy, putti pounding nails into his scull and suspending chains
