It is on rare occassion that we have the opportunity to offer property with Royal provenance.
This unique Cartier purse watch one belonged to Her Royal Higness Victoria Eugenia, born in 1887 at Balmoral Castle to Prince Henry of Battenberg and Princess Beatrice, youngest daughter of Queen Victoria. On May 31, 1906 Princess Eugenia became the Queen of Spain by marrying King Alfonso XIII.
Known to have a passion for Cartier's magnificent jewels, this was most likely a Christmas gift.

Designed as an 18K gold stylized basketweave case with a cabochon sapphire button to each side that when pressed reveals a concealed watch, inscribed "Victoria Eugenia, Dec:1928", with French hallmarks, offered in a fitted and signed red leather box embossed with Royal Crown
