NINETEEN OLD BABYLONIAN CYLINDER SEALS
Circa 2000-1700 B.C.

Including twelve with seated figures, worshipers, deities and priests; three with an intermediary figure leading a worshiper to a seated or standing deity, all inscribed "(the god) Shamash;" one with a worshiper and a suppliant goddess facing a standing deity and an attendant, inscribed "(the god) Shamash, (the goddess) Aya;" one with a worshiper facing a deity in ascending position, with a similar inscription; one engraved with a worhsiper and a suppliant goddess standing before seated figure, inscribed "Pasu, son of Il-dalil-bani;" and one with a worshiper facing a standing deity, a bow-legged dwarf between them, inscribed "(the god) Amurru, son of heaven" (19)
