A ROMAN LIMESTONE LAMP MOLD
Circa 4th-5th Century A.D.

For the upper half of a North African red-ware lamp the tondo with a figure of a stag, with other animals and ornaments on the nozzle and rim; together with a fragmentary North African red-ware lanx, of similar date, molded with rondels enclosing, from left to right; a frontal quadriga, the profile head of an emperor, and a facing head of an emperor being crowned by two Nikai, with small profile heads between the rondels below, and figures of Nike above; and a rectangular limestone block of uncertain date cut on all faces with motifs in intaglio, probably a mold for casting jewelry
