Of rectangular shape illustrated with a scene of a Chinese scholar conversing with a boy beneath a large pine, the reverse with a tiger stealthily observing the pair, the three figures inlaid in shakudo with gilt detail set within a continuous landscape lacquered in gold hiramaki-e on a fundame ground, interior cases nashiji; fitted with a coral bead ojime and a wood kagamibuta netsuke lacquered in gold on the plate with a leaping carp, signed Seisen saku--3in. (7.7cm.) high
