The rectangular box containing a removable tray housing six smaller rectangular incense containers, the exterior decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e and nashiji on a roiro ground with the 'Three Friends', pine, bamboo, and plum, fitted with gilt-metal rings, the lids of the roiro incense containers decorated in identical technique with seasonal plants and birds, interior roiro, fundame rims--5 5/8 x 4 7/8 x 4¼in.
