The padded, curved arm rest set on two tall supports each lacquered in gold and silver hiramaki-e with flower scroll on a mura-nashiji ground, the shaped supports pierced with a heart-shaped aperture and set on rectangular plinth, these decorated in gold hiramaki-e with foliage repeated on the edge below the brocade arm pad, brocade patterned with chrysanthemums and paulownia crests on a ground of colored diamonds--22½in. (57.2cm.) long, 10½in. (26.8cm.) high
