A LACQUERED-BAMBOO TOWEL RACK

Assembled in parts, the towel bar with curved ends resting on the two side supports which fit into the feet and the lower panel held in place by cross bars which fit into the side supports and feet, the panel lacquered in low relief in bright gold and silver with kirigane details with bamboo and rocks on one side and with bamboo, rocks and a rippling stream on the other, the other parts of the rack decorated with gold floral diaperwork, fittings silver cast with maple leaves scattered on a flowing stream--21 5/8in. (54.9cm.) high, 26in. (66cm.) wide
