Of rectangular shape with rounded edges and lobed corners resting on four bracket feet, decorated on a roiro-nuri and mura-nashiji ground with passengers crossing a river in a ferryboat beneath a willow and flowering plum, rendered in iro-e togidashi, e-nashiji and okibriame, the underside ornamented with large cut pieces of aogai on a ground of sprinkled shell dust (mijingai-nuri), signed on base in gold lacquer, sealed in red lacquer, silver rim--14 3/8 x 10 3/8 x 1 3/8in.
